General RP Terms

OOC - out of character.
IC - in character.
Emote - message sent in which you roleplay.
Metagaming - using out of character knowledge for in character gain.
Powergaming - using powers your character does not have or abusing in character powers.

Lore Terms

The Eldmourne - Halcyon's ancient mourning of countless dead worlds.
The Ouroboros Cycle - also known as the Eldmourne Cycle, the cycle of destruction and creation which affects the entire realm save for Halcyon.
Halcyon - the only place in the realm that is immune to the Ouroboros Cycle, the town built on the corpse of a dead old god.
The Esuroth - also known as the Esurient Mist or the Esurient Fog, the entity which destroys and consumes the world.
The Orith - the entity which creates after the destruction.
The Wandering Path - the path path surrounded by the Orith's mist and saves those who are lucky from the destruction of the Esuroth by taking them to Halcyon.
Trine - three days; one ooc day.
Apogee - seven trine; one ooc week.
Interval - one quarter of a zenith; about one ooc month.
Zenith - One year; four ooc months.
Astral Zenith - three years; one ooc year.
Lunara Zenith - year of the moon; a year of pure night.
Solara Zenith - year of the sun; a year of pure day.
Stellara Zenith - year of the stars; a year of dusk.
The Sun - The Sun, also literally the sun god
The Moon- The Moon, also literally the moon goddess
The Stars- The Stars, also literally the star god/goddess
The Waters - Goddess of the waters
The Wilds - Goddess of the wilds
The Flames - Twin god and goddess of fire
The Winds - God/Goddess of the wind
Humanity - the catch all name for all of the sapient mortal creatures in the realm of Eldmourne.
Elvenkind - the elves.
Ork'khaan - the orcs, trolls, goblins, etc.
Dullmen. - the humans.
Hearthborne - a commoner; a person who lives a domestic life.
Realmseeker - an adventurer or person of social, political, or economical importance.
Metanoia - a transformation or rebirth into a creature that is no longer mortal.
The Pallid - the vampires.
The Empyrean - the celestial; both angels and demons/fiends.
The Hallowed - the more angelic empyrean.
The Profane - the more demonic or fiendish empyrean.
The Wretched - the undead; lichdom, wraithdom, etc.
The Rhapsodic - the feylike, elemental, and therianthropic.
The Distorted - the eldritch or aberrant.
