Disciplinary Policy
The goal of Eldmourne RP is a safe and fun environment, however to ensure said safety there must be disciplinary action when policies and rules are breached. The purpose of this policy is to outline the types of disciplinary action that may be taken, infractions which may earn discipline, and our system of appeals.
- Types of Disciplinary Action
- Warning
- The first form of disciplinary action, a simple warning that the infraction which was caused was wrong.
- This is used for smaller infractions or first time offenders.
- Probation
- Akin to a warning, however if another infraction occurs when one is on probationary status they will get a ban.
- This is used for moderate infractions or repeat offenders.
- Temporary Ban
- The offender is not allowed to access the server, website, or discord server for a predetermined amount of time.
- This is typically used for big infractions or repeat offenders.
- Permanent Ban
- You are permanently banned from Eldmourne RP.
- This is for major infractions or problem players.
- IP Ban
- You and everyone at your IP address is banned from Eldmourne RP.
- This is done when a bad actor is caught making alt accounts in order to evade bans.
- Offences Which May Incur Disciplinary Action
- Breaking the Eldmourne Terms of Service
- Harassment or toxic behavior
- Impersonation
- Griefing
- Illegal Activities
- Other infractions, within reason, which moderation deems worthy of disciplinary action.
- Appeals
- An appeal may be made after an amount of time set by the moderation who dealt out your disciplinary action
- Appeals are not a clean slate, and may result in a lesser action being taken or no action being taken
- Ban appeals will result in a probationary period on the server
- An appeal may not be granted depending on the type or severity of the infraction or the amount of infractions a person has made
- Appeals are up to moderation to give out.
- Transparency
- Bans, appeals, and other disciplinary actions in Eldmourne RP are posted publicly to ensure community transparency.
- If evidence is provided which necessitates a repeal or further investigation, that too will be posted publicly.
- Infractions which reasonably justify the contact of legal authorities will be reported to said authorities with any and all evidence of said infractions to ensure the safety of Eldmourne and its community.
